JERUSALEM — While negotiations continue in Egypt regarding the US road map for peace, Fox News Digital revealed in a video obtained from the US-based Center for Peace Communication (CPC) that anti-Hamas militias support President Donald Trump’s peace plan to end the war in Gaza and release Israeli hostages.
This comes amid reports of intense clashes last week between an anti-Hamas clan and terrorists from the jihadist Hamas movement in a neighborhood in Khan Younis in the Gaza Strip, which could signal a major change in local government in the war-torn region.
“We see in President Trump’s plan a way to stop the bloodshed and bring peace to the Middle East,” said Yasser Abu Shabab, who leads the anti-Hamas militia in Gaza. (Peace Communication Center)
Anti-Hamas militias’ full-throated support for Trump’s plan could potentially mean more trouble for the terrorist movement that has ruled Gaza with an iron fist for the past 17 years.
According to CCP’s video, three of the anti-Hamas militias publicly endorsed Trump’s peace plan for Gaza. “We see in President Trump’s plan a way to stop bloodshed and bring peace to the Middle East,” said Yasser Abu Shabab, leader of the Popular Forces militia in Rafah.

Ashraf Al-Mansi, leader of the Northern People’s Forces, said: “We, the People’s Army in the Gaza Strip, the Northern Forces, offer our sincere gratitude and appreciation to US President Donald Trump.”
People’s Defense Forces leader Rami Hillis said his organization and the honorable tribes of the Gaza Strip “will exert our best efforts and capabilities to ensure the success of this proposal.” Two years ago, on October 7, the Hamas terrorist movement invaded Israel and massacred nearly 1,200 people, including more than 40 American citizens.

“This marks the first time that anti-Hamas militias have proven on the ground their ability to challenge Hamas in open conflict and drive them from their territory. We have seen small clashes before, but this seems to indicate a major escalation,” said CPC’s Michael Nahum.
CPC, together with American news organization Free Press, published: images in x About the deadly clashes on Friday that resulted in the killing of 20 Hamas terrorists, including a commander.

According to the CCP, “Hamas’ infamous “Sahm Unit,” known for its brutal suppression of dissenting voices in Gaza, traveled to Khan Younis to arrest local Palestinians and “transport them to a hospital for interrogation and possible execution.”
On the same day as the clashes, the Israel Defense Forces announced that Hamas had built complex terrorist tunnels in the compounds of two hospitals in the Gaza Strip (Jordan Field Hospital and Hamad Hospital). A workshop for missile production was located in the tunnel adjacent to the Jordanian hospital. The use of hospitals and medical facilities as weapons sites by Hamas is considered a war crime according to the Geneva Convention.

Hamas claims that it entered Khan Younis to arrest Palestinians collaborating with Israel. The Al Mujayida clan in southern Gaza resisted a Hamas attack by approximately 50 Hamas terrorists in five pickup trucks armed to the teeth, including a rocket-propelled grenade launcher. Hamas reportedly killed five members of the large Al Mujaeda family.

Anti-Hamas militias reportedly receive support from Israel. These have grown and there are now four, possibly as many as 10, militias in the Gaza Strip, Nahum said. “For the first time in a generation, we may actually be looking at the end of Hamas rule in Gaza,” Nahum said.
According to some assessments, there are approximately 20 thousand Hamas terrorists in the Gaza Strip.
