Delayed and incomplete rainfall had a great impact on agricultural activities in the NTR region; Inadequate rainfall from June 1 to date is 16.4%.
Although Southwest Muson came to the state eight days before his normal history, he came to the state on May 26th, the rainfall has been irregular since then. 11 out of 26 districts recorded normal rainfall between 1-7 June and 14 July. In this period, he reported inadequate rainfall. According to information about the AP State Disaster and Planning Association, only one regional elements recorded more rainfall.
During this period, 149.7 mm registered 125.2 mm rainfall in the NTR region, agricultural activities gained momentum in the last two weeks after a slight delay.
The normal area grown in the region is 94,931 hectares. According to information from the Regional Agricultural Officer Office, so far it has been completed in 24,405 hectares in the October Kharif season. In this Kharif season, cotton is completed in the total area, cotton maximum 19,099 hectares, then 2,001 hectares paddy paddy, 1,645 hectares of 1.635 hectares of puls.
Surprisingly, this year, despite open rainfall, the area planted until July 7 is much higher than the usual area planted in history. This is due to the pre -Monsoon shower in May.
NTR Region Agricultural Director Vijaya Kumari said, “This year, the high level of the last four five years of the last four five years of the Monsoon in May. Shower, many farmers, especially cotton planting operations encouraged to start.
Not only cotton, but also corn, paddy, black grams this year, thanks to the normal area, thanks to pre -Monsoon shower. Sugar cane, as it was against 3 hectares last year, this season is planted in 18 hectares.
Fortunately, the Secretary General of the Sabha NTR Region of India, Pv Anjaneyulu, fortunately, minimal rainfall in June did not affect the plants too much. “Currently, all the lakes in the region are full. However, farmers in the mandals of Nandigama, Kangikacherla, Chandhapadu, without large lakes, are faced with some problems.
