TVK is Preparing to Form a Government
TVK won 108 seats but fell 10 seats short of the 118-seat majority. The party is holding important meetings with the winning candidates at its Panaiyur headquarters in Chennai. Security was tightened around Vijay’s house and party office in Nilankarai amid huge crowd of supporters. When Vijay reached the centre, senior leaders including Chief Secretary Aadhav Arjuna were present. A TVK supporter described the result as a “much-needed change” in the state. With the current Parliament term ending on May 10, 2026, TVK has a limited time to seek outside support and form a government.
