Patullo has been criticized by Eagles fans throughout the 2025 season because the team’s offense has been stale despite its 8-4 record this season.

But when the Eagles lost at their home stadium, Lincoln Financial Field, on Black Friday, they were booed out of their home stadium after a poor offensive performance.

SOCIAL MEDIA IS VERY VERY ANGRY ABOUT EAGLES COACH NICK SIRIANNI’S SUSPECTIVE TWO-POINT CONVERSION ATTEMPT

The Eagles rank 24th in yards per game (304.8), 23rd in passing yards (196.3) and 22nd in rushing (108.5) through Week 13. They rank 19th in scoring with 22.5 points per game.

While Philadelphia’s defense, led by veteran coordinator Vic Fangio, has been stellar all season long, head coach Nick Sirianni is constantly asked what’s wrong with the offense given the star power on the depth chart.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts, the Super Bowl MVP from a season ago, hasn’t had the same success this season, having his lowest QBR since the 2021 season when he became a full-time starter in Philadelphia. But Hurts threw for 19 touchdowns on just two interceptions with 2,514 passing yards.

Then there’s Saquon Barkley, who earned Offensive Player of the Year honors last season by rushing for 2,005 yards. But after averaging 5.8 yards per carry in 2024, he averaged just 3.7, which would be his lowest output since the 2021 season with the New York Giants. He has just four touchdowns with 740 rushing yards on 198 carries.

Finally, the off-field controversy surrounding star receiver AJ Brown, who threw two touchdown passes in the loss against the Bears, has escalated to the point where Sirianni is frustrated with constant questioning from reporters about what he has in his locker. Brown was mysterious about his lack of targets and also implicated Barkley when it was reported that he wasn’t the All-Pro receiver.

The Eagles were an explosive team under Kellen Moore last season, but he became the head coach of the New Orleans Saints this year.
