Epstein bill heads to Trump’s desk as president dines with Saudi prince after Senate passes by unanimous consent

While Trump dine with the Saudi crown prince, a bill that would force the U.S. Department of Justice to release every document related to the crimes of late sex predator Jeffrey Epstein will be headed to the president’s desk.
The Senate passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act unanimously Tuesday evening, without a roll call vote on the bill, just hours after the House also overwhelmingly passed the measure.
Only one member of the House voted against the bill, Louisiana Congressman Clay Higgins, who declared in X that the measure ‘abandons 250 years of criminal justice procedure in America.’
“If enacted in its current form, such widespread disclosure of criminal investigation files to the rabid media will almost certainly result in harm to innocent people,” he wrote.
President Donald Trump now has the authority to release all the files himself, after repeatedly promising full transparency despite months of tense clashes with House Republicans over the most explosive details.
Aides had planned to give Trump the option of signing the bill on or off camera Tuesday night or signing it Wednesday morning. CNN reported.
But the President has a busy schedule as he hosts Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the White House on Tuesday evening.
The two were scheduled to greet each other at 6:40 pm EST, then join the receiving line and then attend dinner.

Meanwhile, the president opened his Truth Social page and asked his fellow Republicans to remember the victories they have won since taking office in January.
Before touting his accomplishments, Trump wrote: “I don’t care if the Senate passes the bill tonight or any other time in the near future. I just don’t want Republicans to take their eyes off the victories we’ve achieved.”
After spending the weekend attacking Republican Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene and Thomas Massie for supporting passage of the bill, he said Monday night that he would support the measure in a surprising comeback.
The president insisted the entire saga was a “hoax” while claiming he had ‘nothing to hide’ in a post on Truth Social.
‘House Republicans should vote to release the Epstein files,’ he wrote.
‘We have nothing to hide and it is time to give up on this Democrat Fraud perpetrated by Radical Left Crazies to distract from the Great Success of the Republican Party.’
The President continued the words of the Ministry of Justice as follows: We’ve already reviewed tens of thousands of pages on Epstein and implied that the files could harm Democratic foes like Summers. Bill Clinton and Reid Hoffman.
He wrote: ‘The House Oversight Committee can have whatever it is legally entitled to, I don’t care!’
Trump’s relationship with Epstein is well established, with flight records showing the president flew on his private jet four times in the mid-1990s. In 1997, she was photographed with Jeffrey Epstein at his Mar-a-Lago mansion.

However, there were concerns that the president’s name might appear among documents in the Justice Department’s custody regarding the late financier.

The statement appeared to contradict the president’s claims that he had cut ties with the financier and was unaware of Epstein’s illegal activities.
The president also lashed out after Massie and Greene urged party members to vote in favor of the Epstein Files Transparency Act over the weekend.
On Friday, Trump announced that he “did not approve” of Greene’s re-election in Georgia. He ‘went to the far Left’ and became a ‘crazy lunatic’.
He also launched a vicious attack on Massie’s recent marriage.
‘Sometimes Rand Paul Jr. because he always voted against the Republican Party. Is Thomas Massie, aka Thomas Massie, already married??? ‘That was so fast!’ wrote Trump, who has been married three times himself.
‘No wonder the polls show he has less than an 8% chance of winning the Election,’ he added. ‘Anyway, I wish Thomas and (?) a wonderful life. His wife will soon find out she’s stuck with a Loser!’
His comments came less than two weeks after Massie and Moffa tied the knot in Pennsylvania; This ceremony was held just one year after Massie lost his wife Rhonda, the mother of his four children.

Still, Massie and Greene managed to gain enough support from their party and the bill passed overwhelmingly.
Rep. Robert Garcia, the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, declared in the House of Representatives that the Epstein vote ended the ‘cover-up in the White House.’
‘Donald Trump is panicking and trying to stop our investigation. ‘We need to know what he is hiding and which powerful men are responsible for the rape and abuse of children and women.’
He added: ‘Let’s be clear; Donald Trump has the authority to release the files today. But he chooses to delay and divert.’
‘No more lies. There are no more secrets. We will ensure justice for the survivors. Release the files NOW.’
Maryland Democratic Representative Jamie Raskin also called on Donald Trump to immediately release the Epstein files.
“We want the whole truth to come out,” Raskin said. ‘Even the British Monarchy can’t stand this. What about American democracy? Well, let’s say this: “We will definitely not allow this cover-up to continue another day.”‘
When the bill reached the Senate on Tuesday afternoon, Senate Democratic Minority Leader Chuck Schumer asked for unanimous approval to pass the Epstein files bill, which had just passed the House.
“This is about giving the American people the transparency they’ve been crying out for for years,” Schumer said. “The American people have waited long enough. Jeffrey Epstein’s victims have waited long enough. Let the truth come out.”
The measure was accepted without any objection.
