Rother Valley Country Park live: Police search for boy ‘missing in water’ | UK | News

A major search and rescue operation is underway after a young boy became “lost in the water” at a popular park in Yorkshire.

The teenager was swimming in the lake at Rother Valley Country Park in warm weather on Monday, May 25.

South Yorkshire Police, South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and Yorkshire Ambulance Service rushed to Rother Valley Park at around 7pm on Monday.

A South Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “We were called to Rother Valley Country Park at 6.50pm today (Monday 25 May) following reports that a young boy had entered the water but was not seen coming out.

“The search continues throughout the night and updates will be provided as soon as possible.”
