French Open star Rafael Jodar under fire again for brutally snubbing young mascot… days after ball girl ‘shove’ sparked fury

Spanish tennis star Rafael Jodar has once again gone viral for the wrong reasons after brutally belittling a young mascot at the French Open, just two days after he was accused of pushing a ball girl.
Paris’ No. 27 seed Jodar was at the center of fierce controversy when footage emerged of him trying to push a ball girl at Roland-Garros on Friday.
After the clip sparked outrage online, he vehemently denied pushing the girl in the post-match press conference; instead, he claimed that the girl’s feet got tangled in the field cover and that the angle of the video was misleading.
But about 48 hours later, Jodar came under fire again for ignoring a young female mascot who was on her way to play in the fourth round on Sunday.
The 19-year-old was seen reaching out to the girl as he emerged from the tunnel ahead of his match against fellow Spaniard Pablo Carreno, but instead of taking her hand, he walked straight past her.
While fans were left heartbroken for the mascot, Jodar faced angry criticism for the snub on social media.

“Another bad look,” someone completed X.
‘He’s getting more and more of a jerk every day!’ demanded another user.
Third: ‘It gives me bad human energy. I am sad. It’s not nice at all.
Another fan wrote: ‘Honestly this is worse than the ball girl thing [sic]’.
Luckily, the young girl eventually managed to shake Jodar’s hand as he stood in the goal for the pre-match coin toss.
The young player came from two sets behind and defeated Carreno (4-6, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, 6-2) and took his place in the French Open quarter-finals.
Earlier this week, Jodar sparked outrage when a viral clip emerged showing him pushing a ball girl out of his way for the first time.
During his third round win over USA’s Alex Michelsen, he was seen throwing a bottle of water at someone in his box at Roland-Garros when he suddenly crossed her path as she went backstage for a bathroom break.

He lost his balance for a moment before regaining his balance. It was unclear whether there was any contact as Jodar passed by the girl and pointed with his left hand at the person in the box (who he said was her father).
“I didn’t touch it,” he stressed when asked about the clip. ‘No, no, no. ‘I could never do this.’
‘I didn’t force him or anything. “I was telling my dad to give me the things he would give me when I got back after my bathroom break,” Jodar explained.
‘He was in the middle, I think he was trying to get out of the way. ‘He was going backwards but I think he fell, but not because I pushed him.’
Jodar said the ball girl’s feet got stuck in the field cover.
‘It was right behind him. “So while walking backwards, he fell with it,” he said. ‘I appreciate all the work the ball boys do. I know it was difficult to stay there due to the heat and conditions, so I’m grateful. You know, I could never push a kid who was picking up a ball.’
