Hannah Waddingham, 51, makes her red carpet debut with handsome spine surgeon at Variety Power Of Women after revealing she’s in a relationship

Hannah Waddingham made her red carpet debut with Nick Beresford-Cleary at the Variety Power Of Women event in London on Wednesday.

The Ted Lasso star, 51, showed off her hourglass figure as she went braless in the low-cut halter dress, which also featured a daring thigh-high neckline.

Hannah appeared to be smitten with the spine surgeon, who posed for the photo weeks after he confirmed the actress was in a relationship.

Hannah didn’t name her new boyfriend, but they sparked romance rumors when they were photographed together in March. Nick too Cheltenham Festival.

Last month, Hannah opened up about her love life in a cover story interview. Women’s Health UKshe giggled, saying her new man was “so handsome” and “really nice.”

Hannah became a single mother when her relationship with partner Gianluca Cugnetto broke down when her daughters were two, and has since remained focused on her life with Kitty, now 11.

“It took me eight years,” Hannah admitted to the magazine when asked about starting a new relationship. ‘I really didn’t have room for it mentally or emotionally.’

‘I crouched down and focused on my daughter and myself. [But] I’m ready to put my head a little higher over the railing now.’

When asked if ‘this is a lovely looking scarecrow’, Hannah laughed and confirmed ‘it is’.

‘And frankly my relationship is very nice too. But the best part about this is that I am happy and strong in myself first.’

Nick is a Consultant Spine Surgeon at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and King Edward VII Hospital, specializing in both elective and emergency spine surgeries.

He started his career in mechanical engineering and then completed his medical degree at the University of Edinburgh.

Hannah previously revealed how she landed her role in Ted Lasso after finding a single mother to her daughter.

The actress was together with her daughter’s father for over a decade and they were rumored to be engaged before they split.

Hannah admitted how much single parenthood affected her: ‘At that moment, your career could be disrupted because you left the baby in your arms.

Last month, Hannah opened up about her love life in a cover interview with Women’s Health UK, giggling that her new man was “very handsome” and “really lovely.”

Hannah didn’t name her new boyfriend but sparked romance rumors when she was photographed with spine surgeon Nick Beresford-Cleary at the Cheltenham Festival in March.

‘[But] I found a strength in myself. “No, I won’t sit in the corner with the duvet over my head and think, oh, poor me.” I will come out fighting because I know I have so much to give in my career…

‘I’m talking about [single motherhood] always because it’s not the same as having two parents. I know this seems ridiculous and obvious, but I think people forget this.

‘People say, ‘Oh yeah, I’m by myself most of the time.’ However, this is not the same as being a sole provider. That’s why it is undoubtedly my greatest achievement.’

Eight years ago, the actor was horrified when his then-three-year-old daughter suddenly fell ill and had to be hospitalized.

Kitty was suddenly diagnosed with the autoimmune disorder Henoch-Schönlein purpura.

The diagnosis caused Hannah to take a step back from acting, especially roles that took her away from home.

Hannah said that she came up with the role of Ted Lasso around this time, asking the universe for a job that would challenge her as an actor, but most importantly, close to her and Kitty’s home in London.

Two months later, she had her first meeting with the role of Rebecca, which was filmed just half an hour away from her home.

Hannah previously revealed she was too busy and picky to start dating again, but added that she would have strict criteria if she did get back into the dating market.

She told Michelle Visage on the Rule Breakers podcast: ‘I’m a pretty picky girl really and have very specific criteria.

‘One of the most important things in men is, come on man, positivity, positivity and charisma and I’m your girl. But there are so many misunderstandings (miserable old fools) out there. I don’t need this.”

She added: ‘I’m not really into stereotypical sweet cakes, whatever, sexy, whatever.

‘I want a man who embraces me and says, ‘I’ve got you, I don’t care if you’re wearing make-up or not, I’m happy to lie in bed with you and eat Marmite with toast and a glass of milk.’

‘And just be a lovely, positive, charismatic soul. I’m 50 years old and I’m thinking, “Dude, if you’re not going to stand out, just walk away. Fuck off until someone great comes along.”

He noted there were clear deal breakers, including bad kissing and lack of eye contact.
