HS2 failings blamed on high-speed focus and political pressure

As part of efforts to get the project back on track, HS2 Ltd has previously said it would slow or pause works such as the line to Handsacre so it could focus spending on areas left behind; especially the central part in Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire.
