Human Values Must Be Core Of Modern Education: Venezuelan Leader

Venezuelan leader Prasanthi was on a two-day visit at Nilayam and had darshan at Satya Saibaba Maha Samadhi on Sunday.
Addressing faculty and administrators during his visit to the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Education, Rodríguez praised the institute’s unique values-based approach to education, calling it a model that can transform both individuals and society.
Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity given to him to visit Prasanthi Nilayam and the university founded by Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the Venezuelan leader said that educational institutions should focus not only on knowledge and skills, but also on character, morality and service to humanity. He felt that the growing crisis facing education globally underlined the urgent need for value-driven learning systems.
Rodríguez appreciated the institution’s holistic educational philosophy and took keen interest in its research initiatives, academic achievements, and outreach programs. He noted that the university successfully blends academic excellence with character development, describing it as an example of applied holistic education.
The acting president was welcomed by vice-chancellor Prof Raghavendra Prasad, Registrar Srikanth Khanna and senior faculty members at the institution’s administrative office in Vidyagiri. He was accompanied by RJ Rathnakar, managing trustee of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust.
The university management presented an overview of the institution’s growth, achievements, research initiatives and future roadmap. The interaction provided an opportunity to exchange ideas on education, service and human development that reflect the universal values espoused by Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
Rodríguez is currently visiting India upon the invitation of the central government.
