Jeff Brazier threw an ’emotional’ farewell party for his son Bobby ahead of his big move to New Jersey.

The 47-year-old presenter took to Instagram on Saturday to share a sweet family photo from the party held at their home.

Jeff said the night came with ‘a lot of emotion’ as it was also the 45th birthday of Bobby’s late mother, Jade Goody.

Jade tragically passed away in March 2009 at the age of 27, after a brief battle with cervical cancer.

There was no sign of Bobby’s little brother Freddy, but Bobby did spend time with his baby niece Isla late last month.

Jeff wrote: ‘Great little meeting last night.

‘There were a few people who wanted to wish Bobby a safe journey because he’ll be leaving for his New York adventures soon! I will miss him so much!

Jeff said the night, which also celebrated the 45th birthday of Bobby’s late mother Jade Goody, was filled with “a lot of emotion.”

‘Also to toast Jade’s 45th birthday.

‘As you can imagine, many emotions swirl. ‘I think I’ll go and move my body before I actually have to say goodbye to the kid.’

Bobby, 23, announced plans to move to the United States earlier this month.

He said: ‘You know I’m actually moving to New York. I say New York, New Jersey and announced that I will be moving in July.

Last year it was reported that the EastEnders and Strictly star had followed the Hare Krishna religion after falling out with her father Jeff and brother Freddy.

A source told The Sun at the time: ‘Bobby is really excited and happy about his move to India. He tells everyone about it and preaches to them why he is devoted to Hare Krishna.

‘He’s a very good young man, his heart is in the right place, but some people are surprised that he stays away so much at such a peak of his career.

‘He says he hopes to stay there for a long time, at least a year, so maybe he can continue his career when he gets back.’

The actor joined the series as Freddy Slater in 2022 and even won the Rising Star National Television Award for his work in the series.

Bobby has revealed he ‘spends a lot of money’ after suddenly becoming a household name while appearing on Strictly.

He also joked that his newfound fame had enabled him to ‘thrive’ from the attention of older women, who he said were fans of his gyrating hips.

Bobby finished second to eventual winner Ellie Leach and was praised for her routine in memory of her late mother Jade.

Speaking to the Daily Mail about his time on the show, Bobby insisted he remained the same person despite the attention, including rumors he was moving to Hollywood, but laughed: ‘I spent a lot of money.

‘You accept it as it is and nothing actually changes; There’s what everyone else sees, then there’s your life, and I’m too committed to my own life to get hung up on what other people say and talk about.’

Before quoting: ‘But I saw a lot of older women liked my hips and I liked that too.’

Last year, Bobby shared his love of religion in a series of posts on Instagram, writing: ‘Chanting the Hare Krishna mantra is so good for my heart.’
