Kakatiya Royal Killed Vengi Chalukya Usurper

Haydarabad: The sixth set of the 10th century Vengi Vengi Chalukya Copper Plate Inscriptions in KODAD recently noted that Gundayya, one of the previous cacatiya rulers, killed that gazpist Thalapa in a war and that Vengi Chalukya King Vikramaditya II was recovered as a peasant. One of these villages was presented to Gundayya’s wife.

Muniratnam Reddy, “Early Middle Ages’s inscription from Southern India was published under the auspices of the Eastern Chalukia King Vikramadity, and the royal grant in the Telugu speaking area of Vengi Kingdom documented.” The inscription was written in Sanskrit, and in the 10th century AD, the Eastern Deccan exhibits the stylistic conventions of the royal epigraphy. The royal of the Chalukian dynasty reigned from Vengi is also called Eastern Chalukyas.
The inscription begins with the praise of the dynasty, followed by Kubja Vishnuvardhana, the founder of the Kubja Royal Line and the younger brother of Badami Chalukya Emperor Pulakin II.
This inscription states that Haridra Vamsa, the first wife of Gundayya, Haridra Vamsa, the first wife of Gundayya, gave two villages as a reward, the first wife of Talapa.
