KFOR 4Warn Storm trackers injured in crash during tornadic storms

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR)—Chasing storms in Oklahoma is dangerous, and Thursday night was a stark reminder of that.

Photos show the devastation after one of Team 4 Warn Storm’s chase team was T-boned by a driver running a stop sign.

We can say that everyone involved in the accident will be okay.

Over the years, the 4Warn Storm Team has talked about how dangerous the job has become with so many people out on the road trying to chase storms.

KFOR was told at the scene that the driver who hit our crew was an amateur storm chaser and ran a stop sign.

Our storm chaser Conner Tune suffered some cuts and deep bruises and his truck was completely damaged, but thankfully he and his chasing partner Blaze Edwards were released from the hospital Thursday night.

Unfortunately, Blaze has a fractured sternum, but considering the damage to the vehicle, we see that they were incredibly lucky.

It was said that the driver who hit them was kept under observation throughout the night but would be discharged from the hospital on Friday.
