Lakes, Roads, Parks In City Get Facelift

Hyderabad: Lakes in Cyberabad Municipal Corporation (CMC) are being renovated through tenders floated for clearing water hyacinth from all lakes. Ensuring proper functioning of the underground drainage system to prevent pollution will also be addressed. According to CMC officials, apart from preventing sewage, dumping of solid waste into lakes and drains will also be stopped. Other proposed works include addressing potholes and patches on the main road connecting Medchal Highway to Ayodhya junction and clearing garbage on both sides of Medchal Circle along the National Highway.

CMC also began identifying large open areas for the development of outdoor sports complexes and theme parks. An inspection was carried out on Friday, examining areas in Medchal Circle. The inspection emphasized lake rejuvenation and strengthening environmental protection, improving drainage and sanitation infrastructure, increasing road safety and maintenance, and promoting recreational and community facilities.
