Man charged for allegedly trespassing on property where Dezi Freeman was killed

A 43-year-old man has been charged after allegedly breaking into the property where Dezi Freeman was shot and killed by police and filmed her.

Victoria Police said detectives from the Wodonga Criminal Investigation Unit have charged a man “for allegedly trespassing on a property on Murray River Road at Thologolong”.

The man allegedly trespassed on the property where notorious cop killer Dezi Freeman was shot dead by police two weeks ago.

Footage taken inside the shipping container where Dezi lived was later released; A man claimed he stepped onto private land to retrieve a drone.

Dezi Freeman was shot dead by police on the property after more than seven months on the run.

The statewide manhunt for the prominent sovereign citizen began when Freeman shot and killed two police officers who arrived at his Porepunkah home to arrest him on charges related to sexual offenses against a child.

The yes man was subpoenaed and charged with one count of trespassing.

He will appear in Wodonga Magistrates Court on October 13.
