MSC Elsa 3 shipwreck off Kerala: Tamil Nadu seeks ₹1,041.8-crore compensation for pollution impact, Union Ministry tells NGT

The Union Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways has informed the National Green Tribunal (NGT) that Tamil Nadu has sought compensation of around Rs 1,041.8 crore for environmental damage and related losses arising from accumulation of plastic debris along the coast following the sinking of the container ship.
