WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) — New Zealand Police said Friday they have found a person inspired by James Bond Faberge After watching the man closely for six days, the necklace was accused of swallowing Jewelery in the Auckland store.

They said the necklace was recovered Thursday night after it passed naturally from the suspect’s gastrointestinal tract without medical intervention.

The limited edition Fabergé egg necklace is inspired by 1983. James Bond The movie “Octopus,” in which a jewelry smuggling operation involves a fake Fabergé egg.

The Fabergé necklace was held after it was seized from a man accused of stealing and swallowing the necklace.

A less flashy photo provided by New Zealand police on Friday showed a gloved hand holding the recovered necklace and its long gold chain with a sturdy price tag indicating the jewelry’s value of NZ$33,000 ($19,000).

The man was arrested at Partridge Jewelers in Auckland on November 28, shortly after the alleged theft.

He appeared in court on November 29 after pleading no contest to the theft charge. He has been in police custody ever since and officers were stationed with the man around the clock to wait for evidence to resurface.

The name of the 32-year-old man has not been made public. He will appear in the Auckland District Court on Monday and will remain in police custody until then.

“Given that this man is in police custody, we have a duty of care to continue to monitor him given the circumstances that occurred,” Inspector Grae Anderson said in a statement on Wednesday.

The store’s website states that the eggs, of which only 50 were produced, are made of gold, painted with green enamel and encrusted with 183 diamonds and two sapphires. The pendant is 8.4 centimeters (3.3 inches) long and is mounted on a stand.

“Once the egg is opened, it reveals an 18-karat yellow gold octopus adorned with white diamond suckers and black diamond eyes,” a product description said. “The octopus twist pays homage to the eponymous antagonist at the center of the movie ‘Octopus.’”
