As the anniversary of the government’s landslide victory in 2025 passed over the weekend, the ABC’s Jane Norman reports Prime minister Anthony Albanese he is preparing to break one of the pledges he made in the election and overhaul property tax concessions.
While the government has been generally reluctant to make changes to housing, even acknowledging that housing policy is at odds with the interests of young people who are largely excluded from the market, it now appears to have changed course.
