Nottingham Forest: Ange Postecoglou in line to replace Nuno Espirito Santo

Postcoglou was dismissed by Tottenham after a gloomy Premier League season they finished 17th at the end of last season.

However, Australia has led to a historical Europa League victory at the end of the season to end the club’s long -standing trophy drought.

Forest is currently 10th at the Premier League table after three matches of the season.

After 21 months, Nuno’s last match was defeated by West Ham in September before the international break in September.

The 51 -year -old Portuguese coach took responsibility for Forest in December 2023 after the dismissal of Steve Cooper and helped maintain the upper flight status.

In the last period, for the first time in thirty years, the Premier League has been in the Premier League – the highest finishes since 1994-95 to the seventh place.

BBC Sport understands that Forest’s players were caught with a surprise with the departure of Nuno.

Many of them are internationally and do not return to education until the end of this week.

However, the word spread, some players heard the news from other members of the team.

It is thought that Postcoglou will be appointed before the Arsenal trip on Saturday.

Since Evangelos Marinakis took over the club in May 2017, he would be the eighth permanent administrator.
