Prince Harry’s ’10-minute meltdown’ to Queen Elizabeth before wedding | Royal | News

Prince Harry and his grandmother Queen Elizabeth II New allegations have emerged regarding an alleged conflict between Elizabeth and Elizabeth in the months before her high-profile wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018. According to royals, there was a ten-minute confrontation between Harry and his grandmother.

While members of the public were treated to a fairytale celebration at Windsor Castle, reports suggest that disagreements over wedding arrangements have led to a rift between the Duke of Sussex and senior members of the Royal Family.

Sources claimed the late Queen was increasingly concerned about decisions being made without the level of consultation she had expected during the planning process. Among the issues that caused the reported disappointment was Harry’s decision to approach the Archbishop of Canterbury about the wedding ceremony before gaining approval from the Dean of Windsor.

Harry was allegedly involved in what was described as a “10-minute tantrum” during a conversation with the monarch about three months before the wedding, according to memoirs shared by the Queen’s first cousin, Lady Elizabeth Anson. Sky News Australia reports.

Lady Elizabeth reportedly told royal writer Sally Bedell Smith that the Queen was deeply saddened by the change.

Lady Elizabeth Anson told Sally Bedell Smith: “He said he was really sorry. When the Queen told me this I was shocked, how upset she was. I had no idea about the conversation, that he had been rude to her for ten minutes.”

Additional reports indicate that the Queen was frustrated by difficulties communicating about wedding details, including Meghan Markle’s wedding dress and other arrangements.

The wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took place at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle on 19 May 2018. While approximately 600 guests attended the ceremony, millions of people around the world watched it on television and online.

One of the most memorable moments of the ceremony was when Reverend Michael Curry delivered his 14-minute sermon on the power of love. Celebrities in attendance included Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, Amal Clooney, Serena Williams and Elton John.

Harry received special permission from the Queen to keep his beard while wearing the frock uniform of the Blues and Royals. Meghan wore a minimalist, elegant silk dress with a graphic bateau neckline, designed by British designer Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy.
