Seven Arrested In Businessman Murder Case

According to the police, the prime accused Patti Kumaraswamy alias Kumar allegedly had a long-standing grudge against Mahesh, a businessman from NTR Nagar in Enumamula. Kumar reportedly suspected Mahesh of spreading false information about him and that it was affecting his political standing with a local public representative. Based on this alleged rivalry, Kumar is said to have conspired with his associates to eliminate Mahesh.

Police said that on the night of July 18, the accused stopped Mahesh near Road No. 2 in Parimala Colony, poured petrol on him and set him on fire. He suffered serious burn injuries and died the following evening while receiving treatment in hospital.

Following a complaint by Mahesh’s wife Adupu Nagalakshmi, Geesugonda police registered a murder case and formed special teams for the investigation. While seven accused, including Kumar, have been arrested and taken into judicial custody, another accused, Suresh, is still at large.

Commissioner Shwetha said that efforts are on to complete the investigation quickly to nab the remaining accused and ensure stringent punishment. He also thanked Mamnoor ACP, Task Force officials and Geesugonda police personnel for solving the case promptly.

40-year-old man drowned in Baswapur reservoir

A 40-year-old man drowned in Narasimha Swamy Sagar Reservoir at Baswapur in Bhongir mandal of Yadadri-Bhongir district on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as 40-year-old Syed Naheem, a native of Rahamath Nagar on Road No. 10, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.

According to police, Syed Ameen and his two sons Saifullah and Naheem had visited Baswapur reservoir for a holiday trip on Sunday morning. Naheem accidentally went into deep water and drowned.

On receipt of information, Bhongir Rural police rushed to the spot and recovered Naheem’s body after conducting a search operation with the help of local residents. The body was taken to Bingöl State Hospital for autopsy. Bhongir Rural police have registered a case and are investigating the incident.

Temple fire destroyed 17 toy shops and 15 cars in Narketpally

Around 17 shops and 15 carts located on the outskirts of the Sri Parvathi Jadala Ramalingeswara Swamy temple at Chervugattu in Narketpally mandal of Nalgonda district were reduced to ashes in a fire accident that took place after midnight on Saturday.

According to the police, a fire broke out in a toy store and quickly spread to neighboring stores, causing an estimated $2.5 billion in property losses. The fact that no one was in the stores during the incident prevented any injuries and prevented a major disaster.

The fire, which was thought to have started as a result of a short circuit in the toy store, quickly spread to the surrounding stores. Most of the damaged shops sold toys and other religious objects. In addition to 17 shops, 15 wheelbarrows parked next to them also burned in the fire.

People panicked after two LPG cylinders stored in shops exploded with a loud, bomb-like sound, waking nearby residents in the middle of the night. Upon being informed, 3 fire trucks arrived at the scene and took the fire under control.

Government Whip Vemula Veeresham visited the area, inspected the damaged shops and consoled the affected shop owners. He assured them that the government would provide all possible assistance to those who suffered heavy losses in the fire. He also instructed the authorities to take necessary measures to prevent recurrence of such fire accidents at Chervugattu temple.

One person died after a truck crashed into a motorcycle

A 31-year-old man died in a road accident at Venkatadripalem in Miryalaguda mandal of Nalgonda district on Sunday evening. The deceased has been identified as 31-year-old Gudikuntla Vijaya Prasad, a resident of FCI Colony in Miryalaguda town.

According to police, Prasad, who was unmarried, was returning home after playing cricket with his friends at Jank Thanda when the accident occurred. Allegedly, while trying to overtake a truck, his motorcycle crashed into the vehicle, lost his balance and fell under the rear wheels. He died at the scene.

The body was taken to Miryalaguda District Hospital for autopsy. Police suspect that the accident was caused by the truck driver’s negligence. Miryalaguda Rural police registered a case and initiated investigation.

In another incident, five people from a family were injured when their vehicle crashed into a road barrier in Kodad of Suryapet district.

According to police, the family was traveling from Vijayawada to Yadagirigutta when the driver reportedly lost control of the car, causing it to crash into the road barrier. All five passengers suffered minor injuries.

While the injured were taken to Kodad State Hospital for treatment, police said that none of them were in serious condition.

Cyber ​​fraudsters pose as ACB officials and duped force personnel in Sircilla

Cybercriminals duped Sircilla electricity department employees by posing as Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials and extorting money from them.

Although approximately 10 to 15 employees are believed to have fallen victim to the scam, only two contacted the police to file a complaint.

According to the police, on July 22, Line Inspector Jukanti Shiva Kumar received a call from his fellow employee Dacharam Balaiah, who informed him that an ACB DSP who was on a conference call wanted to speak to him.

The cyber fraudster interrupted the conference call after getting Shiva Kumar’s phone number. An unidentified person then contacted the Line Inspector directly on his mobile phone number. 9741546965 and threatened to raid ACB’s properties, claiming that he had accumulated wealth illegally.

The fraudster demanded ₹2 lakh to prevent the alleged ACB raids. Panicked by the threat, Shiva Kumar transferred ₹ 1.50 lakh online to his mobile number 8431641836.

When the caller later spoke in a different language, Shiva Kumar realized that he had been duped by cybercriminals. He immediately lodged a complaint with the National Cyber ​​Crime Helpline (1930) and also approached the Sircilla police.

Sircilla DSP K. Nagendra Chary said while many employees were allegedly duped by cyber fraudsters, only two had filed complaints.

DSP stated that neither the police nor any government institution requested money on the phone and called on people not to trust people who introduce themselves as police, ACB officials or Income Tax officials and demand money.
