Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal said on Friday, June 12, 2026, that the Punjab Assembly elections may be held in November this year instead of February 2027, when the AAP government will complete its five-year term. He also expressed confidence that Bhagwant Singh Mann will return as CM.
Mr. Kejriwal made the comment while speaking at a roadshow in Bathinda along with the CM, AAP’s State incharge Manish Sisodia and other leaders.
“It was said that the elections would be held in November” [2026]not February [2027]. Only four months left. Now we all have one task: to make Bhagwant Singh Mann Prime Minister again,” said the national organizer of the ruling party.
‘There is no allegation of corruption’
“In the last four years, not a single allegation of corruption involving even a single paisa has been made against Bhagwant Mann. Do you think PM Modi would have spared him if there had been such an allegation? The ED and CBI would have also conducted raids here,” Mr. Kejriwal said.
The CM said traditional political parties cannot accept that a person from an ordinary family should lead Punjab and work tirelessly for the welfare of its people.
