Special Self-Enumeration Portal For First Digital Census
New Delhi: The center will soon launch a special web portal that will allow citizens to conceal themselves during the upcoming census, which will present the facility in both stages of the national numbering exercise. Authorities said in a statement on Monday that India will be the first to be completely digital census: Countries will collect data using mobile applications on Android and Apple devices, while the public will have the option to send their own details during the first time home listing and residential census and census.
Authorities, called a transformational step to modernize the process of initiative, said that electronic transmission of data to a central server will provide faster usability of the results and will protect information during collection, transmission and storage.

In a letter to all states and UTs, Mritunjay Kumar Narayan, the Indian registration manager and census commissioner, announced that the villages and towns were divided into uniform numbering blocks assigned to each block to prevent negligence or reproduction. The preparations for home listing, including the appointment of supervisors and numbers, will start on April 1, 2026 and the number of population will officially begin on 1 February 2027.
