St George’s Day parade LIVE: Warning issued ahead of ‘world’s largest parade’ | UK | News

Ian Michael added: “We normally track 1,000 vehicles in total so this year we could exceed that figure. With the extra publicity we’ve been doing we could exceed that number this week. We’ve hung over 450 flags on Stratford Road this week and that’s really admirable, helped by the increased colors donating the flags and the vehicles required to fly them.”
Explaining what motivates him, he added: “It’s patriotism, just loving England, loving my country, my heritage, my history, my music, comedy, everything about England.
“I’ve been a patriot for over 30, 40 years, I’m 60 years old, so it’s been in my blood for a long time.”
He also said he “100%” believes St George’s Day should be a public holiday, adding: “I expect that’s what will happen if reform comes into play.”
