Bihar Police Detain Job Seekers Protesting for Domicile Policy in Government Jobs

Patna: On Friday, the Bihar police detained several business candidates who demanded the implementation of residence policy in state capital and trying to disrupt the traffic movement.

However, business candidates were later released.

The protest, led by student leader Dilip Kumar, saw that the participants came together near Gandhi Maidan and put pressure on the reservation of 90 percent of government affairs for local youth.

Patna (Central) told Diksha PTI, “Some protesters were detained by the police near Gandhi Maidan when they refused to empty the roads.”

The residence policy demand has been a long -standing issue among job seekers. However, the state government has repeatedly excluded such a policy, claiming that any such movement would be contrary to the constitutional provisions.

Recently, in the midst of oyster for the ‘residence policy’, Nitish gambling cabin has recently ordered that 35 percent reservation for women in government affairs should be applied only for the permanent residents of Bihar.
