Secret Report Exposes Chinas Invincible Air Defense

A secret document has just been revealed, sending shockwaves through Beijing and Islamabad. Australia’s National Security College has published a bombshell 87-page report revealing what military experts call “the biggest defense fraud of the decade” and at the center of the humiliation is India, whose missiles have achieved what America and Russia thought were impossible.

The secret was revealed and it was devastating for China: its so-called “world-class” air defense systems were unable to stop Indian missiles during Operation Sindoor. The technology that Beijing sold to Pakistan as “impenetrable” turned out to be nothing but expensive scrap metal when faced with India’s firepower. Every Indian should read this with pride swelling in his chest.

Australia’s National Security College has released a classified report titled “Air and Missile Warfare in the 2025 Intercontinental Conflict: Observations and Conclusions” and what it reveals is nothing short of disastrous for Chinese military credibility. The report clearly states that China’s YL-8E anti-stealth radar, HQ-16FE and HQ-9BE missile systems have failed to stop most Indian missiles, systems that China markets globally as the “most capable” air defense technology money can buy.

Pakistan had purchased a number of systems, including YL-8E radars, between 2021 and 2024, based on claims that China could detect and neutralize Indian Rafale jets and BrahMos-A missiles. The report now concludes that these capabilities were greatly exaggerated and the systems failed to perform in real-world conflict situations.

Operation Sindoor: When Indian Missiles Mocked Chinese Technology

During the 4-day conflict that began on 7 May 2025, Indian Air Force and Navy Rafales (armed with SCALP missiles) and Su-30MKIs (carrying BrahMos-A) entered Pakistani airspace with what Australian analysts called “unexpected ease”. Not a single Indian cruise missile was captured. Not one.

China-made surface-to-air missile (SAM) HQ-9BE and HQ-16FE systems deployed to protect Pakistan’s critical air bases at Noor Khan, Sargodha and Jacobabad have failed to intercept any Indian cruise missiles. The “impenetrable shield” that Pakistan bought from China turned out to be invisible because it did nothing.

Worse, the YL-8E radar produced so many false signals in mountainous and maritime terrain that Pakistani operators fired missiles at dummy targets and decoys rather than real threats. China’s “advanced” technology literally could not tell the difference between the BrahMos missile and the shadow.

China’s Missiles Prove That They Don’t Work As Well

China’s CM-400 missiles fired from Pakistan’s JF-17 Block-III fighter jets either missed their targets completely or were intercepted by India’s electronic warfare systems and Barak-8 interceptors. The much-hyped Chinese air-to-surface missiles failed to reach their designated targets, let alone cause damage.

Meanwhile, Indian Harop stray munitions (kamikaze drones) destroyed at least two HQ-9BE launchers on the ground because they could not relocate quickly enough, exposing the system’s slow deployment capability.

Verdict: Chinese Technology Is a Paper Tiger

Australia’s report confirms what India has shown on the battlefield: Chinese air defenses are overrated and underperform to the point of being unable to stop modern Indian weapons. Pakistan purchased billions of dollars worth of Chinese equipment that proved worthless when tested in real combat.
