Louise St John Kennedy yet to enter plea for allegedly breaching violent restraining order from neighbour

A western suburban society A woman facing charges for allegedly threatening to run over her elderly neighbor was ordered to enter a plea before Christmas after trying to postpone the case until February because she had holiday travel plans.
Award-winning architect Louise St John Kennedy is accused of allegedly threatening her elderly neighbor Prudence Manners outside her Claremont home on September 27, violating a violent restraining order and protective bail conditions in the process.
At Perth Magistrates Court On Thursday morning, Ms Kennedy, who is representing herself, said she had not yet received legal advice and had not been presented with the material facts of the accusations.
Chief Justice Steven Heath initially adjourned the case until Christmas Eve for Ms Kennedy to obtain legal advice, but asked if the case could be postponed until February or even make a remote call as she would be out of state.
The judge said, “You need to come back before February as the matter needs to be resolved. I need to know whether you have pleaded guilty.”
“I will postpone this until December 11, just be quick to seek legal advice.”
Ms Kennedy spent a night in custody last month after being arrested on restraining order charges.
Ms. Kennedy is currently in the middle of a lengthy criminal case regarding a separate driveway dispute involving the same neighbor.
A violence restraining order and protective conditions were put in place against Ms Kennedy over the incident in 2024, including that she cannot come within five meters of her neighbour.
