Trump issues furious rant over ‘The Iranians take Trump for a sucker’ | US | News

After the Wall Street Journal published an article titled “Iranians Think Trump Is a Sucker,” referencing Trump’s latest extension of the war ceasefire in Iran, the president took to his platform Truth Social to blast the publication.

He said: “Some idiot on the Editorial Board of the Wall Street Journal named Elliot Kaufman just wrote an op-ed titled ‘Iranians Think Trump Is a Sucker.’ Really? They’ve killed our people and many more for 47 years and taken advantage of every President except me – So what have I given them, a Country in tatters!”

Elliot Kaufman claimed in a recent column that Tehran “defrauded” Trump three times; He repeatedly promised to open the strait before closing it again to extract more concessions from Washington.

What did Trump say in his last appearance?

Trump responded directly by insisting that the war in Iran was effectively won after the United States destroyed Iran’s political and military leadership.

“Other Presidents did nothing to stop them, a BLACK to the Office of the President! But despite all this, there is a MORON on the Editorial Board of The Wall Street Journal who writes about me being considered a ‘sucker,'” Trump wrote.

“Iran certainly doesn’t think so! Others don’t either. I think Rupert Murdoch told him to write it that way because The Wall Street Journal has lost its way, it doesn’t need to be read anymore, it’s just another failed political ‘RAG’!”

What to know about Trump’s latest ceasefire in Iran

Trump extended the US ceasefire with Iran hours before it was due to expire and delayed new military intervention at the request of the Pakistani leadership.

The US President announced on Tuesday evening that he had agreed to postpone further attacks after Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Field Marshal Asim Munir contacted.

Trump posted the update on Truth Social: “Based on the fact that the Government of Iran is not unexpectedly but seriously fragmented, and at the request of Pakistani Marshal Asim Munir and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, we have been directed to continue our Attack on the Country of Iran until its leaders and representatives put forward a common proposal. I have therefore directed our Military to maintain the Blockade and remain ready and capable in all other respects, and therefore I will prolong the offensive. Ceasefire until proposals are presented and negotiations are concluded in one way or another.”
