US Consumers Expect More Inflation, UMich’s Hsu Says

Joanne Hsu, Director of Consumer Research at the University of Michigan, discusses the current state of U.S. consumer sentiment. According to the University of Michigan, the preliminary confidence index in October decreased to 55 from 55.1 in September. While the latest figure was the lowest in five months, it was stronger than the average forecast in a Bloomberg survey of economists.
