Jake Wightman wins world 1500m silver as Josh Kerr’s title defence ended by injury

Jake Wightman returned to a global podium with the world 1500m Silver, but the title defense of British teammate Josh Kerr was ruined due to injury in a dramatic final in Tokyo.
2022 world champion Wightman won salvation on his return to a global scene, fought the injuries and missed the last two major championships.
The 31 -year -old collapsed with exhaustion after crossing the line before looking at the big screen, which has shown that Portugal’s Isaac Nader has doubled at an exciting end.
Kerr, who tried to be the only fourth man who preserved the title of 1500 meters, had a heartbreak, but the opportunity was rejected after he was drawn in the middle of the race and managed to stand on the line.
