Man dies after alleged stabbing at Concord home as police arrest 41-year-old

A man has died and another has been arrested after he was allegedly stabbed at a home in Sydney’s inner west on Sunday.
Emergency services were called to a property on Spring St in Concord at around 12.10pm following reports of welfare concerns.
When officers from Burwood Police Area Command arrived they found a man in his 30s with a stab wound to the chest.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man at the scene but he could not be resuscitated and he died a short time later.
A 41-year-old man was arrested at the home and taken to Burwood Police Station.
Inspector Christine McDonald said the level of violence was “completely unnecessary”.
“This is a terrible incident, you go to someone’s house for some reason on a Sunday afternoon and this happens,” he said.

“This was not something the victim expected and now many lives have been ruined as a result of this incident.”
He said there was an argument before the stabbing.
Police establish a crime scene as Burwood detectives launch an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
