Dr P.R. Sushama Gets Best Biodiversity Conserver Award
HYDERABAD: Dr Veeranari, senior assistant professor and head of the department of botany and environmental sciences at Chakali Ilamma women’s university. PR Sushama received the ‘Best biodiversity conservationist of 2026’ award from Telangana state biodiversity board (SBB) on the occasion of international biodiversity day. The award came for his work in biodiversity conservation and environmental awareness programs in Telangana.
The celebration took place in the presence of IAS officers, principal secretary for environment, forest, science and technology Nadeem Ahamad, SBB member secretary Kalicharan Kartade and Hyderabad major municipal corporation commissioner RV Kanan.
