Police seize 3.6 kg of ganja in Villupuram, two held

Police seized 3.6 kg of ganja allegedly smuggled to Villupuram and arrested two persons in Sithani on Saturday.

Police said that a team checking vehicles in Sithani upon a tip-off noticed the suspects A. Mukilan (22) and S. Soundar (23) from Vikravandi with a bag. The police checked the bag and found bundles of marijuana inside.

Police said initial investigation revealed that the duo had purchased marijuana from drug dealers to sell to people in Villupuram area. They were arrested and detained.
