Liberal Party connection behind the sale of Nine’s radio stations

Nine Entertainment has sold its radio division to the Laundy family for $56 million, it was announced on Friday, ending its seven-year tenure at the former Macquarie Media radio stations.

The network includes 2GB and 2UE in Sydney, 3AW in Melbourne, as well as 4BC and 6PR in Brisbane and Perth. 3AW and 2GB in particular maintain their position as some of the most influential radio networks in the country and are often relied upon by the country’s news editors to drive their agendas in the mornings.
