Nagpur Student Gets Abu Dhabi Centre for NEET-UG Re-Exam

Nagpur: A student from Nagpur in Maharashtra was allotted an exam center in Abu Dhabi by the National Testing Agency for the NEET UG 2026 re-examination on Sunday, prompting his parents to raise the issue with the NTA and seek a correction. Student Abdulla Talib had chosen Nagpur, Wardha and Bhandara centers for the exam.

However, his father, Dr. Mohammed Talib told a news channel that when he received his NTA-issued examination card, he was shocked to learn that he had been allocated an examination center in Abu Dhabi.

The student’s parents raised the issue with NTA and assured them of allocating the new examination centre.

The confusion comes on a day when a nationwide mock exercise is being held on Saturday ahead of the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination as part of efforts to ensure smooth, safe and transparent conduct of the medical entry test.

The re-examination will be conducted in pen and paper mode on June 21 from 2 pm to 5.15 pm in 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad for over 22.79 lakh candidates.

Following allegations of paper leak, the first exam was canceled and the case was handed over to the CBI.

Meanwhile, Congress leader and former Maharashtra education minister Anees Ahmed said such nonsense puts pressure on students who are stressed due to exams.

“But the government machinery is not improving. Do not play with the career of students,” he added.
