TVK to form new TN govt as VCK, IUML extend support; Vijay arrives at Lok Bhavan – The Economic Times Video

With the support of Congress, CPI, CPI(M), VCK and IUML, 121 MLAs now support TVK and the path to form government in the state is now open. TVK General Secretary Aadhav Arjuna on Saturday announced that Joseph Vijay is set to become the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu after the VCK finally agreed to give ‘unconditional support’ to the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) party. Crossing the 118 mark, the actor-turned-politician is now set to form the government in the state with the support of the Congress, CPI, CPI(M) and VCK. Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) president Thol. Thirumavalavan handed over the official approval letter to TVK General Secretary Aadhav Arjuna, extending the party’s support to TVK to form a government in the state. Saying “Victory”, Arjuna thanked the Congress, Left parties and VCK chief Thirumavalavan for their support and announced that Vijay is ready to become the chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
