World Cup 2026: Ghana’s Thomas Partey denied entry to Canada and will miss his nation’s first World Cup game

Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey will miss his country’s first World Cup match against Panama in Toronto after being denied entry to Canada.

Partey, 32, has denied seven charges of rape and one count of sexual assault, related to claims made by four different women between 2020 and 2022.

He will go to trial next year.
