MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha announced that Telangana Jagruthi will emerge as a political party. He will contest in the next Assembly Elections. He said there was a need for a political party in the state that worked for the interest of the people. He made the statement four months after he resigned from the post of MLC and the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on September 3, 2025.
Before addressing the media on Monday, January 5, 2025, he talked about why he joined the agitation for a separate Telangana State in the Telangana Council, his reasons for joining politics and the BRS (later Telangana Rashtra Samithi), allegations of mistreatment in the party, the leadership of his father and BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao, his family members and the issues he was working on.
Talking about the restrictions imposed on her in BRS after the Bathukamma program organized after the establishment of the state, Kavitha said that she did not receive support from party spokespeople for her programs.
Stating that Congress has attempted to paint her resignation and parting ways with BRS as a property dispute, she said her struggle is for self-respect. Finally, he said that he wanted to serve people and inspire women. “I am leaving the Assembly. But I will come back as a force. I will create a political system in Telangana,” Ms. Kavitha said.
