Chaos on Luton easyJet flight as ‘drunk passenger’ delays take-off | UK | News

A passenger of an EasyJet flight was dragged off the plane and not allowed to travel on the grounds that he “behaved disruptively on the plane”.
The plane’s captain tackled a disruptive passenger to the ground seconds before take-off from Luton Airport today (June 12). As reported by Sun“The plane was heading towards the runway when a drunk thug started banging on the toilet door”.
The newspaper also reported that “witnesses said the senior pilot ran from the cockpit before a passenger kicked the attacker.”
In a statement, easyJet said: “A passenger on flight EZY2511 from Luton to Amsterdam on 13 June was refused travel due to disruptive behavior prior to takeoff. EasyJet’s cabin crew and ground staff are trained to assess all incidents and act quickly and appropriately and we do not tolerate abusive or threatening behavior towards our staff.
“The safety and well-being of customers and crew is always easyJet’s top priority.”
According to The Sun, a person on board flight EZY2511 to Amsterdam said: “Two men were arguing at security. One was refused boarding because he was too drunk, but his friend managed to board.”
“The man who got on board was shouting curses from his phone and threatening to fight with the passengers before being carried to the front of the plane by the crew. When the plane started to taxi, he completely lost it. He jumped up, wanted to get off and ran at full speed towards the back of the aisle. He started violently head-butting the toilet door and hit the door so hard that it left a dent.
“The captain emerged and tackled him to the floor in the rear galley alongside the flight attendants. During the altercation, another passenger delivered a WWE-style flying kick to the unruly man. After a ten-minute struggle, ground staff dragged him off the plane to a huge, collective cheer.”
